Ctenanthe setosa, also known as the ‘Grey Star,’ is a stunning foliage plant from the prayer plant family. Its elongated, silvery-green leaves are beautifully accented with deep green veins and striking purple undersides, giving it an exotic, painterly appearance.
A natural air purifier, this tropical beauty brings softness and elegance to any indoor space. It prefers a bit of pampering with consistent moisture and humidity but rewards you with its constantly moving leaves that respond to light throughout the day.
🌿 Care Tips:
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sun, which may scorch the leaves.
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm feels dry.
Humidity: Loves high humidity. Mist regularly or place near a humidifier.
Temperature: Best in 18°C–26°C (65°F–79°F). Avoid cold drafts.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter.
Fertiliser: Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser.
Pet Friendly: ❌ No. Toxic to pets if ingested.
