In our handbuilding classes, you will learn how to craft your own ceramic piece from scratch. From mugs and vases to sculptures and decor, get ready to explore your creativity as you mould and shape clay into a piece of your choosing!

Don't worry if you're new to handbuilding---our expert teacher, Lily, will guide and support you through the process. Working with clay can be therapeutic and rewarding, so get ready to express yourself artistically in a calming and supportive environment.

Throughout the class, you will be using various handbuilding techniques to bring your ceramic piece to life, adding your own personal touch with decorations and designs. This will include slab-building, coiling and pinch-pot techniques. After the class, your piece will be fired and glazed, then ready for pick-up within 5 weeks. Walking away with a beautiful and functional piece of art, your works will be completely dishwasher, microwave and food safe!

Note: Consistent with the nature of ceramics, works may crack or break when fired. We do our best during the process to avoid this, though this can occur at all skill levels of making. Clay has its own personality and becomes easier to understand with practice. It's all part of the fun!

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 6 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.

• All required materials will be provided.
• Each person will have access to 800g of clay to build their one-of-a-kind ceramic piece. Underglaze will also be provided to paint components of their work with pops of colour!
• You will get to select one completed piece to be fired and glazed at the end of the class, then ready to pick up within 5 weeks. An email will be sent to you when your work is ready for pick-up.
• If you fall in love with multiple works during your class and don't want to part with them, firing and glazing of additional pieces is available at $15 per piece.
