Common Name: Snow Queen Pothos
Origin: Native to the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific
Description:
The Snow Queen Pothos is a dazzling variety of the classic pothos, known for its striking white-and-green marbled foliage. Compared to its cousin the Marble Queen, the Snow Queen has a much higher concentration of white, giving it a bright, frosty look—almost like the leaves have been dusted with snow.
This plant is a natural air purifier and thrives as a trailing or climbing houseplant. Whether placed in a hanging basket or trained along a moss pole, it adds instant charm and freshness to any room.
🌱 Care Tips:
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its beautiful variegation. It can tolerate lower light, but too little light may cause the white parts to fade to green.
Water:
Water when the top inch of the soil is dry. It’s better to underwater than overwater—too much moisture can lead to root rot.
Humidity:
Standard indoor humidity levels are usually fine. If the air is very dry, occasional misting or a nearby humidifier will help keep the leaves looking their best.
Temperature:
Keep in temperatures between 18°C to 30°C (65°F to 86°F). Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Soil:
A well-draining indoor potting mix works well. Add perlite or orchid bark for extra drainage if needed.
Fertiliser:
Feed with a diluted liquid fertiliser every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer. Pause feeding in winter when growth slows down.
Pet Friendly:
❌ No. Snow Queen Pothos is toxic if ingested, so keep it out of reach of pets and young children.
