Echeverias are one of the most loved succulents in the world — and for good reason! These rosette-forming beauties come in a wide range of colours, shapes, and textures, often with powdery or velvety coatings and elegant, symmetrical layers. Some stay small and compact, while others grow long stems and bloom with charming bell-shaped flowers.
They’re low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and look amazing in everything from pots and dish gardens to wedding bouquets. Whether you’re new to plants or a seasoned collector, there’s always room for one more Echeveria.
🌱 Care Tips:
Light:
Loves bright light! Echeverias thrive in full sun to bright, indirect light. Indoors, place them near a sunny window—north or east-facing is great. Outdoors, morning sun with some afternoon shade is ideal.
Water:
Water deeply but infrequently. Allow the soil to completely dry out between waterings. In general, once every 1–2 weeks in warm weather, and less often in winter. Avoid getting water on the leaves to prevent rot.
Humidity:
Prefers dry air. Echeverias do not like high humidity and should not be misted.
Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18°C to 26°C (65°F to 80°F). Protect from frost and bring indoors during colder months.
Soil:
Use a gritty, well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Good drainage is essential—these plants do not like wet feet!
Fertiliser:
Feed sparingly. Use a diluted succulent fertiliser once a month during the growing season (spring to early autumn). No feeding is needed in winter.
Pet Friendly:
✅ Yes! Echeverias are non-toxic to cats and dogs, making them a safe and stylish choice for pet-loving homes.
