Begonia Rex is a stunning foliage plant known for its spectacular leaves, often featuring shades of silver, green, pink, purple, burgundy and deep red. Each leaf has its own unique pattern and colouring, making this a beautiful statement plant for indoor spaces.

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves and cause fading. A bright spot near a window with filtered light is ideal.
Water:
Keep the soil lightly and evenly moist, but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels slightly dry. Avoid getting water directly onto the leaves, as this can encourage fungal issues.
Humidity:
Loves moderate to high humidity. A humidifier or grouping it with other plants can help, particularly during Sydney's drier indoor periods. Ensure there is good airflow around the plant.
Temperature:
Grows best between 18°C to 27°C. Protect from cold drafts, air conditioning and temperatures below 15°C.
Soil:
Use a light, airy and well-draining indoor plant mix. A combination of quality potting mix, perlite and orchid bark works well.
Fertiliser:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser. Reduce feeding during the cooler months.
Pet Friendly:
⚠️ Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets.
