Common Name: Bird’s Nest Fern
Origin: Tropical regions of Southeast Asia, Polynesia, and eastern Australia

Description:

The Bird’s Nest Fern is a lush, tropical beauty with broad, wavy-edged fronds that unfurl from a central rosette—resembling a bird’s nest, hence the name! Unlike other ferns, it has a more structured, architectural look, making it a standout feature in any room.

Its fresh, glossy green leaves and easy-care nature make it a popular choice for indoor plant lovers. Plus, it's non-toxic and thrives in humid conditions—perfect for bathrooms or shaded corners that need a pop of green.

🌱 Care Tips:

Light:
Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. It can adapt to lower light conditions, but avoid direct sun, which can scorch the fronds.

Water:
Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid watering directly into the centre of the plant (the “nest”), as this can lead to rot.

Humidity:
Loves high humidity! Mist regularly or place near a humidifier—especially in dry indoor climates.

Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18°C to 26°C (65°F to 79°F). Keep away from cold air and sudden temperature changes.

Soil:
Use a rich, well-draining potting mix—something slightly acidic and moisture-retentive like a peat-based fern mix.

Fertiliser:
Feed monthly during the growing season (spring to early autumn) with a diluted liquid fertiliser. No need to fertilise in winter.

Pet Friendly:
✅ Yes! The Bird’s Nest Fern is non-toxic and safe for homes with curious cats, dogs, or little ones.
